In the year 1979, ‘Updhyan’ was carried out under the guidance of Acharya Shri Shubhankar Surishwarji Maharaj Sahab at Sheth Shri Motisha Dhyan Mandir, Byculla, Mumbai. It was in this auspicious event that the Kothari family received the blessings to build a grand 7-storey stone temple ‘Kirtistambh’ in Bhinmal, Rajasthan.

Shrimati Badamidevi and Shri Saremalji Kapoorchandji Kothari family initiated the construction of ‘Kirtistambh’ in the year 1989 in the loving memory of Shri Champalalji Kothari.
‘Kirtistambh’ was designed by the architect Ghanshyambhai Sompura. The temple is 91ft tall and has 4 Tirthankar idols on each floor. The idols of Rajendra Surishwarji, Shri Gautam Swamiji, Shri Nakoda Bhairavji and Ambika Mataji are placed in the 4 ‘Deris’ in the temple. Also, there are 2 ‘Deris’, one of them having the idols of Shri Manibhadraji, Shri Bhomyaji Maharaj, Shri Ghantakaran Mahavir, Shri Kshetrapal Maharaj and Shri Padmavati Mataji, and the other ‘Deri’ having the ‘Panch-dhatu’ idols of Dhanchandra Suriji Maharaj Sahab, Tithendra Surishwarji, Shri Vidyachandra Suriji Maharaj Sahab and Acharya Ratnakar Surishwarji Maharaj Sahab. There is also a ‘Deri’ of Nag Devta.
The ‘Pratishta’ ceremony of ‘Kirtistambh’ was performed in the year 1994 in the presence of Tristutik Sangh’s Acharya Maharaj Tithendra Suriji’s Acharya Maharaj Labdhichandra Surishwarji Maharaj Sahab and Kailash Sagar Surishwarji Maharaj Sahab’s disciple Padamsagar Surishwarji Maharaj Sahab’s Sadhu-Sadhviji and Shri Shakal Sangh.
Introduction of Bhinmal
Bhinmal is a town in the Jalore District of Rajasthan, India. It is 72 km south of Jalore town. The name Bhinmal is derived from the word Shrimal. Bhinmal was the old capital of the kingdom of the Gurjars (or Gujjars) during the medieval period.
The town is the birthplace of the Sanskrit poet Magha and mathematician and astronomer Brahmagupta. Demography -As of the 2001, India Census, Bhinmal had a population of 39,278. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Bhinmal has an average literacy rate of 52%, lower than the national average of 59.5%; The town has one Graduate/degree College called GK Gowani Govt. college, 3 higher secondary and many primary schools.

Bhinmal is connected to Gujarat state and other major cities of India by road as well as Railway. Bhinmal is on Samadari-Bhildi section of North Western Railway. The name of railway station is Marwar Bhinmal. The railway tracks are broad gauge. There are direct trains from Mumbai.
Bhinmal is connected to all major cities by all weather roads. The local transportation system within the city includes Auto-Rickshaw only.
Recently, Bhinmal was in the news for the development of one of the biggest Jain temples of modern times – The 72 Jinalaya.
There is an organization, The Bhinmal Jain Sangh that looks after the welfare of the Jain families originating from this town. It is headquartered in Mumbai.
